About Us

The Remarkable Mossi Youth Council has been consistent in providing a caring, nurturing educational environment for the community, serving children between the ages of infancy through eighteen years old since 1983.

The Remarkable Mossi Youth Council is located in the urban empowerment zone of Jersey City, in the State of New Jersey. The urban empowerment zone consists of a 26 block area on Martin Luther King Drive of which, Remarkable Mossi operates four businesses within this zone. The businesses which includes the following:

Before Care Breakfast Club

Mossi Primary School

Remarkable Mossi After School Program

Remarkable Mossi Summer Camp

Remarkable Mossi Youth Council provides a wide range of community services for youth that focuses on academic excellence, youth employment opportunities, drug, tobacco and alcohol prevention education and volunteerism.

Our youth programs consist of the following:

Youth Entrepreneur Training
Youth Exchange Program
Independent Living Program for at-risk teens
Mentoring Sessions for the Young Men and Young Ladies

We are in partnership with the NJ Department of Human Services, Division of Family Development and the Department of Youth and Family. Over 90% of the families we serve in the surrounding communities receive child care subsidies.

Our mission is to develop a “city within a city” where the residents in any community would be able to walk out of their door and become consumers in their very own neighborhoods.
